Question

What is the most amazing thing you ever saw?

Was it one of nature?

Was it of the miracle of life?

Was it a historical event?

Share with me your stories... I want to know, What is the most amazing thing you ever saw?

P.S. Irrational fear #4 - I have crazy wicked allergies and often can NOT breathe even the slightest bit through my nose. So, my crazy fear... is that some crazy maniac, will gag me, assuming that I'd be able to breathe through my nose and then I'll suffocate accidentaly. Yea, I'm nuts, I know.

I should write...

Last week I received an e-mail from a new member in our Small Group at church. She is new to the area, (I know how that feels) a new Christian (again, I can totally relate) and feeling really inadequate in our group (totally know that feeling too). So I composed a nice e-mail, which I will share in a moment, but before I sent it I called my SG leader to make sure what I wrote was "ok". This person seems fragile right now, and my honesty can come off harsh at times... Some people love me for this, others, not so much.

Ok here is the initial e-mail I received all names have been removed to protect the innocent. It's long so I am going to edit it a bit..k?

I have something that I have attached to my desk that is good for me to read each morning, night or whatever. I am going to send it to you, Anyway, it is this...

Good Morning
I am God. Today I will be handling all of your problems.
Please remember that I do not need your help.
If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle,
DO NOT attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box.
It will be addressed in MY time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, DO NOT hold on to it or attempt to remove it. Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem.

LuckyWife, it's me again, we have a SFJTD box and it may sound silly but my whole family uses it, even my children, and sometimes just having it reminds us that God is in control and we just have to give it to Him. anyway, I know that I am not near where the rest of you are, and this may seem imature to the rest of you, but I just thought I would share some of what I am learning, I am really sorry I don't have the guts to speak in group. I am not sure I will stay, I think I may be in a whole different place than the rest of you, but anyway, thanks for listening to me at times and I think you are a really neat and sweet person. I will still read the next book and I will make sure to pay you for it, but please keep me in your prayer, I thought is was kind of neat, you got my card this week, I was actually thinking about you when I wrote it, I knew if anyone understood some of what I am going through it would be you. Just think though, mine are living with me permanently until, who knows, please pray. and thanks again.

So my reply:

Hi Small Group Friend,
I love that letter, I OFTEN need reminded of just that, I am not in control, and I need to let go of things so that Jesus can take care of it. The only problem with a SFJTD box at my house is that I would be tempted to read everything my kids write and then try and "help" Jesus by taking care of them myself, lol.

Wether you speak up or not, I would hate to see you leave the group, what makes our group so special is the very fact that everyone there is in a different place in their walk with the Lord. Imagine, a group of woman, in the same place, with the same knowledge... How would they grow? If they strayed, there would be no one with more experience, to guide them. And as they grow, they then woudl be given the opportunity to help someone else grow.

THink of it like this... Six woman all standing on a ledge of a mountian. Do you all reach for the next step at the exact same time? What if that next step was a tricky one? You all would slip and fall together.
Or six woman all standing on a ledge together, one person has been there before, and knows where the best step is... She can guide you and then you can help the next person to come along.

If you aren't comfortable in our group, I understand and take no offense, but consider that you might be exactally where you are meant to be.

Love Lucky Wife

Ok, yes, this is getting long, but the POINT of this story, YES I have one, was that my SG leader, the person I read this too before I hit the send button, she said, I should "write or something, like one of those on-line things" A blog? I asked, yeah, she said, I think that's what they are called...

Cassie and me

So yesterday I got a message from Cassie from over at EUG that said " when are we going to get together"? So I gave her my numbers and she called. We decided to meet at an ice cream place after school.

So I picked up my kiddos and I told them my BIG IDEA... let's go to Wal mart and buy the plastic ugly teeth and when she shows up, we will all smile really really big... I was out voted for the ugly teeth and instead we opted for the gansta grills...

SO we get to our meeting place and yes I did park in 15 min parking mostly because I was looking for free street parking.

So I spot her and her daughter, Little P and I put in our Grils, Preteen A opts out. She walks up "Jordan?" I nod, and then smile real big, then start laughing. like a moron. at myself. again. over the teeth.

She had a bag o goodies for me... that was SO awesome... First off, was this:

IF you don't know why this is so funny go read this, and yes it was half full and the safety paper securly attached to the inside of the lid.

Then in all her awesomeness... She bought me vintage APRONS!!!!! I was geeking out excited... You gotta check this out..

I Heart aprons...Everything was so thoughful, and funny... (what kind of laundry detergent do you use? They smell sooo good!)
We went inside and ordered ice cream, the kids sat at one table Cassie and I at another, she was really nice, and while this was the very first time I had met her, I also felt as though I already knew her and she me. I mean, no sense in being shy, she read about every emotion, joy, break down and triumph. Also as though we've skipped the "getting to know you"and right on to girlfriends.
Go see what Cassie had to say, and see a pic of us and our kids... the picture my daughter took was straight up from the ground with a HUGE shot of triple chins and nostrals...
I have so much more to talk about, but I gotta go jump in the shower and if my post isn't up and ready for Michele when she gets up she'll send me more hate mail. :-(
So Maybe thsi will be a 2 fer Tuesday... We'll see

delightful D - things I love

Well, Jane "bestowed" upon me the letter D for a little game of name 10 things you love...

One would thing that having the letter D would be really easy, but either there were too many possibilities or my creative pool is experiencing a drought. (Drought is not a favorite) It could also be that every time I decided to really try and come up with my list the top two things that came to mind were the male organ and the artificial male organ. It was just downhill from there.

But at last I have made a list. In no particular order.

1 Disposable diapers: Now my babies have long out grown diapers, but anyone who has had children, especially those who have witnessed cloth diapers can appreciate the glory of disposable diapers.

2 Doctors: Now I know a lot of people don't like doctors, but I look at it this way. Doctors kept me alive when I was born, doctors gave me shots to protect me from life threatening disease, doctors took away my pain when giving birth and did CPR on my little P to give her a chance at life. Doctors saved me from kidney failure, prescribed Birth control and keep my babies healthy. I heart doctors.

3 Denim: Only the most perfect fabric made - EVER. I mean what else can you wear with every pair of shoes you own? It looks great with boots, sneakers, sandals, heels...

4 Disney: I know you all may not completely agree with me here, but my mom started brainwashing sharing with us her love for all things Disney at a very young age. It is the happiest place on earth.

5. Dirt: OK, maybe a little odd, but I have lived in 3 land types in my life, one had dirt, one had sand and the other rock and clay. Dirt hands down it the best, without dirt all the wonderful veggies that I love would not exist. Sand is very difficult to grow anything in, and the rock/clay is a serious pain in the arse to do ANYTHING to.

6. Democracy: God bless America.

7. Dancing: It was a lot more fun when my knees were in better shape, but none the less I love to dance. I dance while my kids play Rock band. I dance a happy dance when ever I get the chance. Nothing is better than the rare moment in which my husband holds me tight (usually in the kitchen) and we become one in a slow dance.

8. Driving: The freedom of driving down the road, seeing America through the windshield, anticipating what could be around the next corner.

9. Dishes: I love dishes, different shapes, sizes. I love having the perfect dish for any type of food. I have regular dishes, Christmas dishes, and even flowered dishes what were my mom's first dishes.

10. Dreams: Dreams of sleep, dreams of your future, dreams of your children's future. Dreams of sleep are fun to try and remember and figure out, dreams of your future give you something to strive for, dreams for your children make you be a better person for yourself.

I had a few runners up including: dictionary.com, Dads, desk, dishwasher, dresses, daughters (I took them off the list since they are both home barfing today, yea me :-( sad face )

Anyone else wanna give it a go?

Did I mention I'm a lyricist?

No no not really, I had ya fooled didn't I? Actually last month Ellen had a contest to write a funny, inspiring story as to why you should win all the 12 days of Christmas gifts... So I wrote this little ditty, and then promptly forgot to submit it on time. (The statement pretty much sums up my life) So here is the little jingle I wrote to summarize the year 2008 for us.

Sung to the tune of the beverly hillbillies...

Now let me tell you a story about the family Frampton
Hubby call me up one day and said “they are closing our plant, hon”
they say that I can keep my job if we leave the sun and sea,
So let’s load up the truck and move to Tennessee.

Knoxville that is, Rocky top, U of T

So the house is for sale 100 grand less than we paid,
Hubby’s truck broke down 80 miles on the way,
we stayed overnight in a scary motel bed
Hubby then got a call, boss said “You‘ve been demoted”

Paycut that is, bait and switch.

We explored our new land and found only poison ivy
My kids each got a MRSA staph infection on their knee
I started puking, hubby took me to the emergency
I got a kidney stone and fevers of One oh three

Surgery that is and 5 day hospital stay

Now my boss says he can no longer pay me,
Hubby’s hours were cut to hardly anything
Just last month my car was repossessed
This whole year has been such a mess

Like a trailer park meets a tornado

Throughout all this disaster, the blessings they have come
We have learned to rely on each other for some fun
Thirteen years of marriage and our priorities are finally straight
All of this chaos has made my family great.

A team that is, we are working together
Ya’ll come back now, ya hear.
